VISMAVILLE IN CONTAINMENT // AT THE BALCON // Episode 35
Alya's better today. She's showing me a nice necklace. She's holding on to it tight. She has the same one as her friend Diane. Her grandfather gave it to them after a visit to a prehistoric museum. She admits to me: "We had a bit of a whim for that" But after all, grandparents, that's what grandparents are for, isn't it? Baby Lina gave me a little leaf that was on her balcony.
More and more people greet me in the street now. I even get a "You make us feel good to be here every day."
Marcel the rocker man unveils today his tattoo of Indian women, thanks to his sleeveless jeans jacket.
The other Marcel calls me from his balcony. It's the first time I've seen him all the way up. I didn't even know where his balcony was.
People easily accept the photos, take the break, face hidden by a scarf or a dish towel.
The balconies on Aisle 12 are full today. On the pavement, people go back and forth to buy their bread at the small bakery just below.
How blue the sky is today!
I'm also proud to tell M'Hamed that I went for an early morning run, and that I thought of him. I'm a runner, but since the beginning of the lockdown, I haven't been able to go. I just stood there at my window and saw that the number of runners had increased dramatically since the start of the confinement.
And then in the last few days, some have had to give up. It's much less crowded. And this morning at 8am, it was really quiet with a beautiful light.
I still had the impression that I was making circles in the water to stay within the authorized perimeter.
In any case, in any case, M'Hamed, the man I didn't know 36 days ago, congratulated me, and that made me extremely happy!
Today I met his second daughter: Fanny.
I made her repeat her name twice, and asked her to spell...
"My big girl's name is Fannie - IE and not Y" I say to her...
On my way back, I meet christophe, the city gardener, who offers me to get some onions from the truck's dumpster. They ripped everything out today. It was too wilted, too bad...
On the way home, I planted my faded flowers in the few pots I have on my balcony. I know, it's ridiculous, and it looks sad... I'll have to find some live flowers...
