Lina lui a dit qu'elle me trouvait soucieuse.
VISMAVILLE IN CONTAINMENT // AT THE BALCON // Episode 6
6th visit.
I almost didn't go. I was even looking for an excuse. I couldn't think of one. I'm alone with myself all day.
I hear today is World Procrastination Day. It's an exercise I know how to handle, like some of you, right? And right now, I know that tomorrow will be just like today, like yesterday and like the day after tomorrow...
Anyway, finally I went. I was even on time. My new acquaintance from yesterday was there on his balcony with baby Lina. Mrs. Eleanor is beautiful and has a smile on her face. I think it finally feels good. Alya introduces me to her cuddly toy: "I've had it since birth". It's a damn pretty rabbit with big ears. This one is accompanied in the arms of the lady, by a...arf... I don't know...a dragon...black with big green eyes. He's been in Alya's life since Christmas! He's one of her favorite cartoon characters.
At my feet, a pigeon, white, very fat. It's funny, we talked about pigeons yesterday.
Lina was also on her balcony, with a beautiful green apron with the effigy of Shrek!
Oh, I realize now as I write these lines that Eleonore's granddaughter and this lady have the same name.
Two aisles separate them. Maybe they'll greet each other after lockdown, less than 100 yards apart.
Lina's still in the kitchen! One carrot beef today. She who didn't like/knew how to cook... containment hustle... transforms...
A new little head on the top floor is leaning, just above Lina: Madeleine!
Madeleine was warned by catherine. Ah yes, Catherine, ... I'll tell you later about Catherine. So, Madeleine undoes her bun for the photo. I don't dare tell her that 10 meters lower, you can't really see the difference. This image is beautiful. The sky is incredibly blue, the building sends out the warmth of the orange from its brick. Madeleine explains to me that she never cuts her hair. It reaches her buttocks, and it tickles.
Yes, I was telling you, Catherine: we exchange e-mails with Catherine. She explains to me that she won't be able to be at her window, and apologises.
She does video every Wednesday at 10 am with her walking group. She sends me pictures, flowers, the church. I love it. She'll e-mail me back around noon to tell me about Madeleine.
Madeleine...I've always liked that name. It sounds round, sweet, greedy. Catherine explains to me that Madeleine is 63 years old and is broken by Krone's illness.
My visit of the day is over, I did not see the Indian rocker with the many hats. I have to ask him his first name anyway the next time I see him.
On my way back, I always pass by the small park behind. Apart from the mothers still there with their children screaming and running, I see in the distance a gentleman sitting towards the travelling library. I approach. we introduce each other. He tells me he's a cook. He doesn't accept the photo. Damn it, I took it in the distance because it was a beautiful picture. So I keep it anyway, but I'll hide his face. I hope I see him again in the same place. Little by little, talk to him, and put in my story box in pictures, his eyes so clear.
I'm going in. I find on the way back (I live only 200 meters away), a funny poster on a story about handkerchiefs. No actually. It is not funny. It's really not. Also a window with several posters. Thank you! Ah, finally, I see: "Pharmacists". Didn't I tell you? My husband is a pharmacist. We talk about the nursing staff, but pharmacists are in combat every day. They're becoming a place of consultation. People have been told, "Don't go to the doctor or the hospital," so they go to the pharmacist for the first consultation to find out if they're going to die or not....
By the way, Catherine emailed me back. Lina told her that she found me worried.
It's true. I'm worried about my man...
