Naya
Naya
Naya's testimony raises the question of precariousness in France in the event of a long illness if one is too young, childless, single and having previously held a managerial position. Although the State -Cancer plan has made it easier to access healthcare, the disease does not stop with hospital and treatment. It is a way of life that is upset, new food choices due to physiological changes in treatments, financial difficulties encountered by many patients who find themselves in a legal vacuum for access to the additional system of tax assistance while by having this sword of Damocles on the head (the disease and its fight).
Its story sheds light on a social and fiscal injustice and its consequences on a life already abused at only 33 years old. I followed Naya from 2015 to 2017. In January 2018, she had to integrate an experimental protocol following a relapse that occurred in 2017 after her remission. It was in December that she died at the age of 35.
