Nicolas Gomarir, director and founder of the textile serigraphy embroidery workshop LCS Atelier since 2015, saw as a majority of artisans his orders cancelled. His 14 employees usually produce different textiles for sports, events and professional purposes. On Monday 16 March he was unable to continue his activity and his employees have been partially unemployed since then. But naturally, he and his team decided to bring their textile expertise to manufacture with their own stock, voluntarily and free of charge, protective masks (non-standard but made under the technical guidelines of the UHC of Grenoble). Concretely different layers are used for the barrier function of the mask: fleece, softshell and three layers of cotton. Since the beginning of the week, they have been making about 400 masks per day and in shifts of two, which they give to medical teams in view of the lack of supplies.
